About Me
I’m Carson Sweet, a veteran technology executive with over 30 years of experience in startups, enterprise tech, and cybersecurity.
Since 1995, I’ve served as a founder or early leader with six startups, including four exits. I’ve held executive roles as CEO, CTO, CISO, and board chair. I’ve also advised, invested in, and coached dozens of early-stage companies.
Despite the executive titles, I’ve stayed deeply technical. I’ve served as architect, product manager, and engineering leader across cloud, security, networking, and compliance domains. I hold several patents in cloud and cybersecurity as lead inventor. My recent focus is on AI agent architectures that address cybersecurity, compliance, and personal cyber-safety challenges.
My work has spanned nearly every sector. I’ve been a trusted advisor or strategic solution provider for companies like Netflix, Capital One, Fidelity, AT&T, Adobe, Salesforce, BNY Mellon, Marriott, Goldman Sachs, and Walmart. I’ve also supported major federal and state initiatives for the DoD, DHS, NASA, NSA, U.S. Department of Education, Georgia DOT, and even the UK Parliament.
My approach is pragmatic, technical, and focused on business value. I partner directly with founders, execs, and teams to align technology with strategy—whether that’s scaling a prototype, preparing for fundraising, or untangling product and platform decisions.
Early-stage companies need seasoned insight from day one. That’s why I work as a fractional executive, advisor, and integrator - someone who can zoom out for board-level strategy and zoom in to unblock execution.
When I’m not helping companies grow, I’m off-grid in the Blue Ridge Mountains, developing raw woodland into a homestead - or building AI systems that are just a little smarter and more usable.
